This course deepened my understanding of designing user experiences for conversational user interfaces (CUIs). I learned how factors such as agency, autonomy, and conversational dynamics strongly shape user engagement (US). Additionally, I gained hands-on experience prototyping (TR) CUIs using APIs and data-driven systems (MDC), and combining the design of physical and digital interaction.

This resulted in Cooking Buddy: a research artefact used to investigate how a physical embodiment of a chatbot can enhance the cooking experience.
