This course explored the design of user experiences (UX) for conversational user interfaces (CUIs), with a focus on how factors such as agency, autonomy, and conversational dynamics influence user engagement. The project work involved hands-on development of conversational prototypes using APIs and data-driven systems, as well as exploring the integration of physical and digital interaction.

 

This resulted in Cooking Buddy: a research artefact designed to investigate how a physical embodiment of a chatbot can support and enrich the cooking experience.
