We applied user-centred design approaches (DRP), strengthening my ability to work ethically with sensitive target groups (US), an important aspect of my PIV. We first conducted fieldwork and observations in care homes, and tested our concept using a Wizard of Oz prototype (TR). In parallel, we explored brainstorming techniques and visual communication styles to communicate the concept (CA), and reflected on how value could be created ethically for different stakeholders (BE).

This resulted in Flokkie: an interactive artefact that supports people with dementia in non-verbal expression through touch and sound, enabling more inclusive interaction.
