Future
What's next?
During my Master’s program, I have not only developed the competencies to be ready for entering professional practice, but also gained clarity on where I want to position myself as a designer. My focus has increasingly converged on patient-centred health innovation, particularly within the domain of self-management. I envision my future career within organisations that specialise in healthcare innovation, such as service-oriented agencies, or innovation teams embedded within clinical settings (e.g. hospitals). Within these contexts, I aim to contribute as a patient-centered design researcher in the development of health technologies.

The increasing personalisation and digitalisation of self-management in healthcare present significant opportunities for design-led innovation. I see myself contributing to the research and development of both physical and digital systems that support patients throughout their health journeys, with a particular emphasis on humane, value-driven, and context-sensitive self-management solutions.

Before formally entering professional practice, I intend to further explore opportunities for the continued development and potential real-world implementation of DiaLog, as institutions have indicated potential and interest in its applicability. In parallel, I plan to publish insights from my earlier work as conference papers, contributing to broader conversations on humane, patient-centred design in healthcare.
