Designing user interfaces with emerging technologies
Course learnings
This course taught me how to explore emerging technologies and apply them as research tools (DRP). We learned how everyday scenarios can be transformed through novel technologies, used CV markers to design for value, and conducted team-based research by developing a prototype grounded in an emerging technology (TR). We subsequently carried out user research with participants (US). Within the team, I collaboratively took the lead in prototype development.
This resulted in LightWork: a research artefact used to investigate how sedentery behaviour of students during meetings can be prevented through floor sensing.
